Introducing: Streaming [Beta] 🎬

Myndlift's newest training activity, Streaming, will help your clients become more engaged in the training process by allowing them to train while watching or listening to their favorite content from any app on their device.

Clients will have many options, such as watching their favorite movies or shows on Netflix, Apple TV, Hulu, and HBO, or listening to their favorite podcasts on Spotify, Apple Music, and Google Podcasts.

How does it work?

Clients will have a new training activity available in-app, which they can select to start their training session:

Once the Streaming activity starts, the client will see a screen with the following:

  1. A small picture-in-picture window that guides them through the experience

  2. A timer that shows the duration of the round

  3. Number of rounds

  4. Volume controllers to set the maximum and minimum volumes of the content they'll play (a minimum difference of 40% is required) - you can adjust the default volumes from your dashboard preferences

The client will follow the instructions in the picture-in-picture window, starting with minimizing the Myndlift app and then playing content from any app on their device.

Once the content starts playing, the client will see visual feedback in the form of a battery charging or draining in the picture-in-picture window, and the volume of the content will adjust based on the maximum/minimum volumes that were set:

The picture-in-picture window, along with push notifications, will keep the client updated with important information, such as:

  1. When the difficulty of the training increases during the round

  2. When there's a problem with equipment placement or signal

  3. When a round ends, and a new round is about to start

  4. When a session ends, and the session results are ready to view in-app

Disclaimer ⚠️

The Streaming activity is not recommended to clients that require constant supervision, such as children or the elderly, since the training is done using content outside of the Myndlift app.

Furthermore, while auditory feedback is applied to the volume of the content at all times, visual cues are optional and can be hidden or disabled by the client.
