Streaming [Beta] Android

Starting on August 15, your clients can train using Streaming in the Android app (version 3.2.5.4 and later on Android 13)

Updated over a year ago

Starting on August 15, 2023, you will be able to find Streaming on Android 13 devices in the Myndlift app (version 3.2.5.4 and later).

Introducing: Streaming [Beta] 🎬

Myndlift's newest training activity, Streaming, will help your clients become more engaged in the training process by allowing them to train while watching or listening to their favorite content from any app on their device.

Clients will have many options, such as watching their favorite movies or shows on Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and HBO, or listening to their favorite podcasts on Spotify, Google Podcasts, and more.

How does it work?

Clients will have a new training activity available in-app, which they can select to start their training session:

Once the Streaming activity starts, the client will see a screen with the following:

  1. A timer that shows the duration of the round

  2. The minimum brightness controller to control the screen dimming

  3. The audio feedback controller enables the fading of audio in and out along with the brightness. Clients can adjust the volume controllers to set the maximum and minimum volumes of the content they'll play (a minimum difference of 40% is required) - you can adjust the default volumes from your dashboard preferences

When the client hits "Start," the Myndlift app will get minimized, and a guided view will appear with instructions.

Once the content starts playing, the client will see visual feedback in the form of the screen brightness changing, and the content volume will adjust based on the maximum/minimum volumes if the client enabled it.

The guided view will keep the client updated with important information, such as:

  1. When the difficulty of the training increases during the round

  2. When there's a problem with equipment placement or signal

  3. When a round ends and a new round is about to start

Disclaimer ⚠️

The Streaming activity is not recommended to clients that require constant supervision, such as children or the elderly, since the training is done using content outside of the Myndlift app.
