You might want to archive some of the locations recorded on your Gearbelt workspace for various reasons: the site is no longer active, and you don’t need it in daily operations, you want to declutter the location list while keeping historical data or the assets at that location have been moved.

To do so, follow these steps:

1 . Go into the 'Locations' section, select the location you'd like to archive using the corresponding checkbox on the left hand-side

2. Select 'Archive selected' in the top left

3. A pop-up message will appear, asking you to confirm you'd like to archive the selected location. Select the red 'Archive' button to proceed

4. This will move the location selected to the 'Archived' section, it will disappear from your list of active locations. You'll be able to recover it from the 'Archived' section if required

How to unarchive a location

If you need to unarchive a previously archived location—whether it's being used again or new assets are now at that site—you can do so by accessing the 'Archived' section.

1. Select the relevant location using the left hand-side checkbox

2. Select 'Restore selected'

3. This will move back the location to your list of Active locations
