What are Actions?

Actions make it easy to assign, track, and complete tasks directly in Dashpivot β€” keeping your team moving without the need for texts, emails, spreadsheets, or separate tools.

With Actions, you can:

  • Assign tasks within your workspace or directly from forms

  • Track everything assigned to you in your My Actions personal view

  • Always see where a task came from with the Source field

  • Create and manage tasks on site with the Dashpivot Mobile App

  • Export task data to Excel, Power BI, or Power Platform via Flowsite

Here's how Actions show up across Dashpivot:

New Actions field

The Actions field is now available to be added to your templates within the Dashpivot template builder. This allows you to create tasks directly from any processes.

Actions in forms and conditional logic

Assign tasks while filling out forms such as inspections, audits, or daily reports. Actions can also be embedded within conditional logic. You can capture issues in real time and create a follow-up task.

πŸ’‘ Example use case: During a safety inspection, you can quickly assign a task to the relevant personnel when a failed checklist item (e.g. missing PPE) is selected.

My Actions personal view

The My Actions personal view gives you a central place to see everything assigned to you or by you. It helps you quickly track what’s due and keep your tasks moving. Actions can also be created directly from the My Actions personal view, giving you flexibility in managing various tasks.

πŸ’‘ Example use case: A site manager can create an Action from anywhere in Dashpivot to remind themself of an upcoming induction meeting

Actions Source

Every Action shows which form it was created from, so you always have context and can trace tasks back to their origin.

Actions on the Dashpivot Mobile App

Everything you can do on the website, you can also do on the Dashpivot mobile app β€” so you can create and manage tasks on site without losing context.

Integration with Excel, Power BI, and Power Platform

Using Flowsite, you can automatically export Actions into Excel, Power BI, or Power Platform. This makes it easy to feed task data into your tracking sheets, dashboards, and apps for project-wide reporting.
