How to markup PDFs in Dashpivot

Learn how to annotate and draw on PDFs (eg. drawings)

The ability to markup PDFs is a useful feature if you want to annotate, sign or highlight certain areas on a PDF attached to a form.

Markup options include

  1. Draw

  2. Highlight

  3. Annotate with text

  4. Insert picture

How to access Markup Options

  1. Attach a PDF for a form either on the website or using the app

  2. Once attached, open the Dashpivot app and navigate to the form containing the PDF file you want to markup

  3. Click on the PDF file to view it and access the markup options.

Common use cases

  • Permits: Markup underground drawings of services and utilities.

  • Inspection Reports: highlight damages or areas that need extra attention.

  • ITPs, checklists, defects and NCRs: markup and annotate drawings to document important aspects
