Introduction

Dayworks dockets and dayworks sheets are used by clients and contractors as a signed record detailing the quantity of works completed that day or shift, kept as evidence of work completed for payment claims, and so that if disagreements arise later down the track, they can be easily settled.

Setting up your dayworks sheets with Dashpivot can allow you to capture all the relevant details easily on site (with digital date-stamped signatures) using the mobile/tablet app. Organised in one spot which is easy for everyone to access, this means they can be found and processed easily at the end of the week/month, and distributed if required, on a branded PDF.

How it works

Key Features

  • Standardise the way dayworks sheets are created and tracked

  • Automatically send notifications when a dayworks sheet moves to the next stage in the workflow for electronic sign-off

  • Automatically generate a register of all dayworks sheets

  • Create dayworks sheets on site using the Dashpivot mobile/tablet app while on site to quickly communicate back to your PM or financial controller back at the office

  • Link photos of work completed, and document progress/milestones

  • Download, print or send your dayworks sheets as PDFs, with professional layout and company branding

Best Practices

  • Setup your Dayworks sheet template as a workflow to standardise the sign off process. We recommend including an 'approved/closed' column as the last column in the workflow to clearly indicate forms which do not require further action.

  • Setup workflow notifications to automatically notify the right person for sign-off at each step (including your client if they have a Dashpivot account)

  • Include a 'signature' field set to be a 'manual signature' to collect signatures from other parties while on site, who don't have Dashpivot accounts. This is the best option if the client representative does not have a Dashpivot account

  • Include a photo field so that additional detail can be added as evidence of work completed, and under what conditions

  • Use list fields where applicable (eg. area), to make it easy to find records later via the register view, and filter by the list items on any analytics charts

  • Turn on the 'automated form number' inside the template builder, to display an auto-generated sequential number (1,2,3,4...) when created, so each sheet can be identified and referenced

  • In the template settings, make sure the forms are sorted by the date on the form (not the creation date)

  • In the template settings, set the form thumbnail to display the zone/area if working on a large site.
