You decide which personal information your study collects about its subjects. There are two switches, and what you need depends on how the study reaches people.
If your study uses | You will normally need |
ePRO | Email and phone number, to send the questionnaires. |
eConsent | First and last name, plus at least one contact method to deliver the consent form. |
eCRF only | Possibly neither, if nothing has to be sent to the subject directly. |
Choose what to collect

Go to Study settings.
Open the Options tab and click Edit.
Switch First name and Last name and Email and Phone number on or off, as your study requires.
Click Save.
đĄ Tip: collect only what the study actually needs. Every field you switch on is personal data you then have to hold, protect, and justify under GDPR and your local rules. Switching one on because it might be useful later is the expensive choice.
