📝 Overview

Apple Pay and Google Pay are payment options available at checkout on your Customer Site, giving customers a faster and more convenient way to pay using their phone, tablet, or computer.

Apple Pay and Google Pay are digital wallet payment methods that allow customers to complete purchases using payment details securely stored on their device. Once Stripe has been configured, Apple Pay and Google Pay are enabled automatically, so no additional setup is required.

This feature is available to businesses using Stripe as their payment processor. Customers using a supported device and browser will automatically see Apple Pay or Google Pay as a payment option at checkout.

🔔 New: Apple Pay and Google Pay are now available as checkout payment options for businesses using Stripe. Customers using a supported device and browser will automatically see these options during checkout.

🛠️ On the Dashboard

Now that Apple Pay and Google Pay have been added as payment options, they will become available on the checkout section by default for all businesses which use Stripe as a payment processor. (see next section)

If you go to Settings Collect Payments ➜ Click on Manage next to Accepted Payment Methods, and in there you will see the Wallets option where both Apple Pay and Google Pay are enabled.

By default, Apple Pay and Google Pay are enabled in Stripe, and these settings are locked. If you'd like to enable or disable either payment method, contact our Support team and we'll unlock these settings so you can manage them from your Stripe Dashboard.

🧑‍💻 Customer View

When customers reach the checkout page, they can select Credit/Debit Card to either use a saved card or enter the details of a new card. If they're using a compatible device and browser, they can also choose Apple Pay or Google Pay.

After selecting their preferred payment method, they can click Purchase, and a confirmation pop-up will then appear securely on their device to complete the payment.

If your customers are unable to see Apple Pay or Google Pay at checkout, it's usually because their device, browser, or digital wallet doesn't meet the requirements for these payment methods. Each section below provides more info about the prerequisites for Apple Pay and Google Pay, and how customers can enable them on their device.
