š“ Reviewer note:
Content updates made:
Added that the Waivers list is now organized into tabs: All, Required for All, Required for Specific, and Archived
Added a new "Sharing a waiver link" section describing the unique URL, copy, email to customer, and preview options, matching Forms
Added a new "Reordering waivers" section describing the new drag and drop reordering capability, cross-linked to the Reordering Forms article
Rewrote the "Adding a new waiver" steps to reflect the new multi-step flow: name and text with a digital signature checkbox, required for, the new Timing step (Before, After, or Customize), preview, and done
Added a Reporting section to house the existing "checking if a waiver has been signed" content, and a genuine Customer View section describing what customers experience
Confirmed unchanged per the product notes: Edit remains unavailable once a customer has signed (Archive & Copy is required instead), and the Archive, Archive & Copy, and Signatures report behaviors are all unchanged
Fixed the broken legacy link to "What's the difference between Forms, Waivers and Policies?" to point to the correct live article
Screenshots and placeholder links to replace before publishing:
All 9 GIFs and the 1 screenshot below are carried over from the live article and reflect the OLD single page waiver UI, they need to be reshot against the new tabbed, timing enabled UI before publishing
No screenshot exists yet for the new Timing step, Sharing a waiver link, or Reordering waivers sections, add per the image standards once available

š Overview
Many of you need customers to complete waivers before they can register for your events, book appointments, or purchase a membership.
We have built a digital waiver system to take the hassle out of filing paper forms and save you and your customers time that could be better spent getting active.
Typically, Waivers are used for liability disclaimers and terms and conditions. In this guide we'll cover how to add, edit, and manage your digital waivers from Forms and Documents >> Waivers, which is now organized into four tabs: All, Required for All, Required for Specific, and Archived, so you can quickly find the waiver you're looking for.
š” Not sure whether to use a Waiver, a Policy, or a Form? Click here to see What's the difference between Forms, Waivers & Policies.
š ļø Setup
Adding a new waiver
Go to Forms and Documents >> Waivers >> New Waiver to start the new waiver flow:
Waiver name.
Waiver text and a digital signature checkbox. When your customers sign this waiver, we'll add a text field for their signature, so be sure to remove any confusing "sign here" lines in your waiver's text.
Required for. Set the circumstances under which this waiver needs to be signed. Participants will have to sign the waiver once, the first time they register for a class, book an appointment, or purchase an applicable offering:
If everybody should sign it, choose All memberships and registrations
If the waiver should only be signed by customers purchasing specific memberships or booking certain classes or appointments, choose Specific memberships and registrations and select the applicable options
š” Any links included in the waiver text will not hyperlink. Customers will need to copy and paste the link into a separate browser.
Next, choose the Timing for this waiver: Before the registration or purchase (the customer must sign first, like today), After it, or Customize to choose Before or After individually for each class, course, appointment, or membership selected in the previous step.
You'll then be able to preview the waiver before confirming. Once you're happy with it, save to finish and the waiver will be live.
Sharing a waiver link
Every waiver now gets its own unique link, the same as Forms. You can copy it and send it however you'd like outside of TeamUp, or email it to a customer directly from TeamUp so they can sign before they even create an account. You can also preview the waiver before sending its link. See Sharing a Form or Waiver Link [PLACEHOLDER LINK] for details.
Reordering waivers
Waivers can now be reordered using drag and drop, the same as Forms. See here for more on reordering.
š ļø Editing and Archiving
Editing an existing waiver
Once a customer has signed a waiver, editing is not available for its fields, title, or text body, you'll need to Archive & Copy instead.
Head to Forms and Documents >> Waivers >> Options >> Archive & Copy.
In the popup, you can choose whether ALL customers should sign the edited waiver again or only NEW customers.
Alternatively, you can also Archive & Copy a waiver from each waiver's settings.
š” If you need to edit an answer to any of the fields for a specific customer's waiver, head to their profile >> Forms >> Details, next to the waiver >> Fill Out. Customers can edit their own answers by heading to My Account >> clicking their Name >> Edit, next to the field >> Save.
Editing the signature settings on a waiver
If you need to edit the circumstances under which a waiver needs to be signed, for instance if you've created new memberships or classes and would like participants to sign the waiver, head to Forms and Documents >> Waivers >> Options >> Signature Settings.
Adjust the settings as needed and save your changes.
Alternatively, you can also change the signature settings from each waiver's settings, as seen below.
Archiving an existing waiver
You can archive a waiver at any time by going to Forms and Documents >> Waivers >> Options >> Archive.
š” New customers do not sign archived waivers, but customers have signed them in the past.
Alternatively, you can also archive a waiver from each waiver's settings.
š Reporting
You can see if a waiver has been signed in a few ways:
Go to Forms and Documents >> Waivers >> Options >> Signatures. This takes you to a report of all the customers who have signed the waiver.
Alternatively, you can see how many customers have signed the waiver from each waiver's settings and click the link to view the full report.
Go to Customers >> Customer List >> select the desired customer >> Waivers. This shows you if a waiver has been signed, and the date signed if so.
š§āš» Customer View
Depending on a waiver's Timing setting, customers sign it Before their registration or purchase (blocking checkout until it's done), After it, or on a Customized basis. If you shared a waiver link directly with a customer, opening it takes them straight to the waiver to sign.
ā ļø When a staff member registers a customer for a class, any waivers that need to be completed prior to the class will not be prompted automatically. You'll need to direct the customer to their Customer Account >> Forms and Waivers tab to sign.
