Vet - Get Started with DaySmart Payments - Powered by Stripe!

If you are looking for an easy way to streamline your payment process and modernize your checkout experience, DaySmart Payments Powered by Stripe has everything you need. We are happy to have you aboard and look forward to helping you simplify and strengthen your payment experience!

For manual card entry users, please skip to Step 3: Run your First Transaction.


Before starting the setup process, ensure your device is plugged in and charging for at least 30 minutes or is fully charged.

If the device loses power during updates, it can result in the device becoming corrupted and unable to process payments.

πŸ”ŒStep 1: Set up your Hardware

  • USB-C to USB-C charging cable

  • Battery

  1. Remove the battery cover: Use a tool that won’t cause damage, and lift at the small notch located at the lower-left corner on the back.

  2. Insert the battery

  3. Snap the cover back on securely and flip over.

  4. Connect the charging cable: Plug in the charger to ensure it stays powered during updates.

  5. Power on the device: Hold the power button (on the right side) for a few seconds until the device turns on

  6. Select your language

  7. Select your country

  8. Select your WiFi network: a network with a password is required.

  9. Wait for updates: The device will begin updating its software. This may take some time, so stay patient.

Stripe Reader S700

  • Stripe Reader S700

  • USB-C to USB-C charging cable

  • Power adapter

  1. Connect the charging cable: Plug in the charger to ensure it stays powered during updates.

  2. Power on the device: Hold the power button (on the right side) for a few seconds until the device turns on

  3. Select your language

  4. Select your country

  5. Select your WiFi network: a network with a password is required.

  6. Wait for updates: The device will begin updating its software. This may take some time, so stay patient.


βš™οΈ Step 2: Register your Reader in DaySmart

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Select the Payments tab.

  3. In the left side column, click Device List.

  4. On the right side of the screen, select Add Device.

  5. Enter the registration code: Input the code displayed on the screen, make sure to include the dashes.

  6. Enter a Name for the device: this is your choice and comes in handy if you have more than one device.

  7. Click Save

πŸ’Έ Buy Now Pay Later / Sunbit

Sunbit is a company that lets people pay over time for everyday purchases. It’s built into your Stripe account by default, so customers can split payments into monthly installments.

🚨 If you don’t want to use this feature:

  • Go to the left-side menu, click Buy Now Pay Later.

  • Switch off the green Active slider.

As soon as your credit card reader is all set up, you're good to go! Just create a new appointment and get ready to check out. It's that easy! Click on the button for your software below to learn how to take a payment.

Q: What if I need a different payment type?

  1. Click on Settings

  2. Select Configuration

  3. From the dropdown select, View Payment Types to edit existing or Add New Payment Type.

Q: How do I refund a payment?

Q: Where is my registration code?

The registration code is the three-word-prompt on the display of the reader. If you're not seeing this, use the steps below.

  1. Swipe from left to right to open the menu.

  2. Click device settings

  3. Enter the admin PIN 07139

  4. Click the second option, Generate Pairing Code.

  5. Click the back button twice to get back to the DaySmart screen.
