Why was my transfer sent as non-instant?

We always send transfers as SEPA Instant whenever possible. However, if the beneficiary bank does not support SEPA Instant or is temporarily unable to receive the transfer, it will be processed as a regular SEPA transfer instead.

This can happen due to:

  • The beneficiary bank not participating in SEPA Instant

  • Temporary system maintenance at the beneficiary bank

  • Limits or internal rules set by the beneficiary bank

If you’d like to check whether the recipient’s bank supports SEPA Instant, you can find the official list of participating banks here: European Payments Council - SEPA Instant Participants (under “SCT Inst”).

If the bank is listed there but the transfer was not processed as Instant, we recommend that the recipient checks with their bank to confirm whether SEPA Instant is enabled for their account.
