Patients are automatically assigned to the user that puts them into a follow-up or lead-up sequence (or the team member you select follow up to be sent from).
This includes patients who are started in the New Patient Welcome Sequence (see New Patient Tracker).
Note: You can view/edit the user assigned to a patient from their details under "Ava Settings":

It's important to create individual accounts for each of your Treatment Coordinators so they can keep track of and manage communication with their patients.
Users will get email notifications when their assigned patients reply to messages, and they will see their patients' messages at the top of the list in the notification center:
