Step 1: To connect your DENTRIX ASCEND to Bola AI, install the Chrome Extension here.

Step 2: Next, click on "Click to Add Extension".

Step 3: Next, you'll arrive at the page where you can add Bola to Chrome. Click on "Add to Chrome"

Step 4: After clicking on "Add to Chrome", you'll need to click on "Add extension"

Step 5: Now that you have added the extension, you'll need to enter your license key and then click "Register"

Step 6. Once you register Bola, you'll see the following.

Step 7. Next time you log into Dentrix Ascend and click on "New Exam", you can configure Bola to how you'd like to use it in your operatory. See below in the screenshot under "Bola Voice Perio Configuration".

Step 8. Once you click on "Start Exam", you'll be taken to the perio exam, where you'll see Bola in the bottom right-hand corner. You can now click on the blue Bola mic in the bottom right-hand corner to begin charting.

If you clicked on "Enable 'Hey Bola' wake word" in the configuration settings, you can just say "Hey Bola, start, or "Hey Bola, stop" to turn on and off the microphone.

Step 9. After you click on the mic or use the wake word features to say, "Hey Bola, start", the mic will turn red and will be ready to start charting.

Step 10. If you'd like to take advantage of additional resources like our help center, you can do so after clicking on the pinwheel located directly below the blue Bola mic.
