What is Limited Screening?
Limited screening is a provisional status that lasts for 12 weeks, in which workers can work shifts. Whilst they work, we will try to move them from limited screening (which has an expiry date) to fully screened (where you are fully compliant, with no expiry date).
Limited screening can be a great outcome for applicants who have a bit of a longer wait time for documents required to fully clear them, however limited screening is not a fix all solution and does not apply to all applicants.
As with full clearance limited screening is not guaranteed and a certain set of criteria must be completed for it to be awarded. Not every worker will be compatible with limited screening.
What is Required For Limited Screening?
The below criteria must be met to be awarded limited screening:
The most recent 3 years of the applicants activity history must be fully verified
Right to work check
Identity check
5 Year address history
Proof of current address document
SIA licence check
Global watchlist/public records searches are returned clear
Whilst the most recent 3 years must be verified we must also be able to believe with reasonable confidence that the remaining dates will be able to be covered and verified within the 12 week deadline.
We cannot award limited screening if we do not believe that the applicant will be unable to verify the remaining gaps in their application within the 12 weeks.
Can I Prioritise an Applicant for Limited Screening?
If you need an applicant to start urgently, you can request that they be prioritized for limited screening. However, please note that this does not guarantee faster processing or that limited screening will be granted.
We treat all applications with urgency while maintaining a compliance-first approach to ensure all applicants are cleared according to BS7858 standards as efficiently as possible. Our goal is always to achieve full clearance first.
If urgent staffing is required, we will take this into consideration and work with the applicant to expedite the submission of necessary documents to facilitate the quickest possible start.
