Website: a complete guide

Every Dermis clinic gets a complete, professionally-designed marketing website — built for you automatically, branded to your clinic, and wired to feed visitors into your Skin Scan. No web designer required.

  8. What you can’t edit yourself

1. What your website is

  • A complete multi-page website, auto-built for your clinic — there’s nothing for you to design or code.

  • SEO-optimised and fast, and fully branded to your clinic: your logo, brand colour, fonts, photos and treatment menu.

  • It’s built to funnel visitors into your Skin Scan (your main lead source) — the “preview your results” call-to-action and the £25 new-patient offer appear throughout.

  • Your website and your Skin Scan share the same web address: your website is the homepage, and your scan lives at /skin-scan.

2. How your website is created

Your site is generated automatically during onboarding (right after you set your treatments), and it’s assembled from three sources:

  • Your Google Business listing — clinic name, address, phone, opening hours, your storefront photo, and your star rating and review count.

  • Your brand — your logo, brand colour and font.

  • Your treatments — for each treatment you offer, Dermis supplies professionally-written descriptions, treatment photos and before/after images.

You don’t have to build or design anything — your first draft is ready to view in the dashboard as soon as it’s prepared.

3. What’s on your website

Every clinic gets these pages:

  • Home

  • Treatments (your full menu)

  • About

  • Contact

  • A dedicated page for each treatment you offer

On every page

  • A top offer bar and a navigation bar with your logo, an About / Treatments / Contact menu, a “New patients — £25 credit” link to your Skin Scan, and a Book now button.

  • A footer with your logo, social links, your clinic details, and a Google Maps link to your address.

The Home page

  • A hero section — “Do you know your true skin age?” — inviting visitors to take your 60-second AI skin scan and claim £25 toward their first treatment.

  • Your Google star rating and review count.

  • An animated before/after “AI Preview” slider.

  • A treatments grid (name, description, photo, “Learn more”).

  • Expanded feature sections for your top treatments, using your clinic photo.

  • A reviews section with a link to all your five-star Google reviews.

  • A map with your address and opening hours.

  • A £25 offer band driving visitors to the scan.

Treatment, About & Contact pages

  • Each treatment page has a description, a “helps with” list of concerns, an at-a-glance table (treatment time, downtime, how long results last, etc.), a simple 3-step “your journey”, a before/after gallery, and a “preview this treatment on me” scan link.

  • About tells your clinic story (with your photo) and what sets you apart.

  • Contact shows your address, click-to-call phone, email, opening hours, a call button and an embedded map — everything a visitor needs to reach you or book.

Good to know

Treatment cards don’t show prices by default. If you want prices on your site, just send your price list to your AI assistant (a PDF is fine) and it’ll add them. The treatment descriptions and photos are professionally-written Dermis defaults — you can personalise any of it the same way (see §5).

4. Where your website lives & custom domains

  • You can preview and open your live site from the dashboard under App Builder → My Channels → Website (the “Website” card → ViewOpen in new tab).

  • Your website and scan share one address — your homepage is the website, and /skin-scan is the scan.

  • Custom domain: connect your own domain under Settings → Domain. Enter your domain (e.g. glow-aesthetic.com) and your website maps to the root while your Skin Scan maps to yourdomain.com/skin-scan. You’ll be shown the DNS records to add (two CNAME records pointing to cname.dermis.ai); DNS changes can take up to 48 hours.

Note

Connecting a custom domain currently involves a hand from our support team to finish pointing it correctly — message us and we’ll take care of it.

5. How to edit it — just message your AI assistant

This is the key thing to know: you edit your website by messaging your Dermis AI assistant on WhatsApp or SMS, in plain English.

There’s no complicated editor to learn — you tell it what you want, and it updates your live site for you, consistently across every page. Just message things like:

  • “Change the homepage headline to…”

  • “Add lip filler at £180” · “Remove microneedling” · “Reword the Botox description”

  • “Update my opening hours / phone number / address”

  • “Here’s my new logo” (attach the image)

  • “Swap the hero photo for this one” (attach a photo)

  • “Make the site navy” (or any colour / hex code)

  • “Here’s my price list” (attach a PDF — it reads it and adds your treatments and prices)

What it can change

Any text and headlines, your treatment menu (add / remove / reword, including prices), opening hours, phone, address and booking link, photos (hero, a section, or a specific treatment), fonts, and which sections show. It applies each change across your whole site — so a treatment, price or phone number updates on every page it appears.

Two changes apply everywhere at once

  • Your logo — send it and it’s set on your website and your Patient App, app icon and Skin Scan.

  • Your brand colour — say “make it navy” (or give a hex code) and it re-colours your whole website and your app and scan.

What it can’t do

A few things go to our human team instead: taking payments, setting up custom domains, and building booking or payment integrations. If a change needs one of those, the assistant hands it off for you.

6. How your edits go live

  • After you request a change, the assistant applies it and your change is live in a few minutes — at the same web address, with every page updated together. You’ll get a “Done! Your change is live” message.

  • It never claims a change is live before it actually is, and it always updates the whole site — so nothing is left out of date.

7. What you can do from the dashboard

Your dashboard doesn’t edit the website’s content directly — that’s what your AI assistant is for. From the dashboard you can:

A. Preview your site: App Builder → My Channels → Website

Tap the Website card → View to see a live screenshot of your site, with an Open in new tab button to visit it.

B. Connect a custom domain: Settings → Domain

Point your own domain at your website and scan (see §4).

C. Add a Skin Scan banner to an existing website: Conversations → Deploy → Website

Build an embeddable promo banner — editable layout, colour, headline, subtext and button — that links to your Skin Scan, and copy the embed code (or have it emailed to your web developer). This is for a website you already have elsewhere; it isn’t needed for your Dermis site.

A note on branding.

The logo, brand colour, fonts and treatments you set in App Builder drive your Patient App and Skin Scan. To change those same things on your marketing website, message your AI assistant — which also updates them everywhere else.

8. What you can’t edit yourself

These are handled by your AI assistant or our support team:

  • Website copy, treatments, images, logo, colours and fonts on the marketing site → message your AI assistant.

  • Publishing → it’s automatic. Your site is live from onboarding and updates whenever you make a change — there’s no “publish” button to press.

  • Custom domain setup → support-assisted (we help you point it).

  • SEO details, contact-form routing, analytics/pixel and booking integrations on the website → contact support.
