Report Types

Learn what standard report templates come with your account and how you can update the information shown.

There are a number of different report types that come with your account, you can use these report layouts to submit spec packages, Quotes, Invoices and Purchase Orders. Each report can be tailored using the options listed to the right of each report.

You can also create custom reports by using the Report Setup option. To learn more, watch this video.

When you start an account you have access to report templates for;

  • Specifications

  • Budget Information

  • Quantities or Matrixes

  • Procurement (only available with a Complete or Complete Pro account/plan)

Specification Reports

  • Full Page Spec: This report allows you to create a comprehensive spec package with a cover page, table of contents and all of the spec details set up for each specified product. Uploaded pdf documents, website links, multiple images and linked spec details can be captured along with areas and custom attributes.

  • Spec Index: This is a table based format that maps default custom attribute information and allows you to group specs by area, spec type and category. The column information is not editable, however there is the option to create a custom table based report with different column details.

  • Spec Schedule: The Spec Schedule is a table based format that shows more spec details than the Index report. There is generally two specs on a page and you can show larger images, Designer Approvals, summary notes, additional notes and vendor/manufacturer contact names.

  • Mood Board: This report allows you to show all specs with the picture, spec code, description, height, depth, length, width and quantity.

  • Customizable Full Page Spec: This report is similar to the Full Page Spec report listed above but does not contain a cover page or a table of contents. The spec page layout is also different but will contain uploaded pdf documents, website links, multiple images, linked spec details along with areas and custom attributes.

  • Spec Report: This report shows each spec with all pictures, all attributes and vendor information.

  • Index by Area: This is a table based format that includes a table of contents page and shows specs in each area with the spec code, description, quantity and revision dates.

Budget Reports

The budget reports map information from your budget but allow you to format by using filters, and showing project level or item level calculations.

  • Internal Budget: This report is mainly for internal purposes, if you have added a markup to your budget, this report will show the unit cost, extended markup amount and the sell price.

  • Quote/Invoice: This is the client facing budget report, this report will show the sell price if a markup has been added to items on the budget. This is a multi purpose report that can include, pricing, custom attributes, lead time, images and summary notes. Users can use this report to send their clients a Project Proposal showing item costs per area. An Invoice showing selected specific specs. A Quote or an Estimated Budget - showing an estimated budget to the get the project moving before you start specifying your items.

Quantity or Matrix Reports

These are high level quantity reports that show area and spec quantities.

  • Area Matrix: The area matrix highlights the spec quantities by area, the area quantity along with the total item quantity for the project.

  • Area Floor Matrix: This is an area quantity report, you can review the area quantity per floor.

  • Room Spec Matrix: If you are setting up room numbers with your areas, this report will breakdown the specs per room number.

Procurement Reports (only available with a Complete or Complete Pro account/plan)

  • Purchase Order Status: This is a table based format that lists purchase orders by number and status with item total, other costs, tax, shipping and a total.

  • Purchase Order Item Status: This is a table based format that lists specs by purchase order status with spec picture, code, description, quantity, vendor, PO number, and tracking dates (estimated ship, actual ship, target PO delivery, actual PO delivery/received).

  • Budget vs Actual: This is a table based format that lists specs by description with code, vendor, PO number, budget quantity, budget unit price, budget total price, purchased quantity, purchased unit price, purchased total price and variance.

Other Reports

  • Vendor List: This report allows you to create a comprehensive vendor package with a cover page, table of contents and vendor information used in the project.
