Assign Area Qty Per Floor

Specify how many of each area exist on each floor of your project

Steps

  1. Go to the Areas tab in your project

  2. Click on the area you want to assign

  3. Turn on the Assign by Floor toggle

  4. Enter the quantity for each floor

  5. Click Save

For Sub-Areas

  1. Click on the sub-area (shown indented under parent area)

  2. Turn on the toggle

  3. Enter quantities per floor

  4. Click Save

The total quantity updates automatically based on floor assignments.

Important Notes

  • The toggle must be turned on to specify quantities by floor

  • Without the toggle, the area has a single total quantity

  • Sub-areas can have their own floor assignments independent of the parent

11. Assign Category or Classification to a Spec

What This Does

Organize specs by assigning categories (e.g., Furniture) and classifications (e.g., FF&E, Architectural).

Batch Assignment

  1. Go to the Specs tab

  2. Highlight the specs you want to update (or use filters)

  3. Click the Category button

  4. Select a category from the list

For Classifications

  1. Highlight specs

  2. Click the Classification button

  3. Choose: Architectural or Not Architectural, FF&E or remove FF&E designation

Individual Assignment

  1. Click on a spec to open it

  2. In the spec window, find: Classification dropdown, Category dropdown

  3. Select the appropriate options

  4. Click Save

Tips

  • Use filters to quickly select specs by area, vendor, or type before batch assigning

  • Categories are customizable in Global Settings

  • Classifications affect how specs appear in filtered reports
