Understanding Issue vs Revision Dates

  • Issue Date: The first/original date (when specs are first issued)

  • Revision Dates: All subsequent dates (when specs are updated)

Create the Issue Date

  1. Go to the Project tab

  2. Click Revisions and Submissions

  3. Click Add Date

  4. Select a date from the calendar

  5. The first date becomes the Issue Date

Assign to Specs

  1. Go to the Specs tab

  2. Highlight specs to assign (or select all)

  3. Click the Issue/Revision button

  4. The Issue Date appears as the first option

  5. Click it to assign to selected specs

Auto-Assignment for Revision Dates

  • Turn ON the Auto-assign toggle in the Revisions tab

  • Subsequent revision dates will automatically assign when specs change

  • The Issue Date must always be manually assigned first

Tips

  • Always assign the issue date before subsequent revisions

  • Revision dates auto-assign only when the toggle is enabled

  • Specs need the issue date assigned before they show revision history

  • Manually Assign Revision Dates
