On MYM, the model's account first connects directly in the app, without the Chrome extension. You enter the email address and password of the MYM account, and Desirely signs in to MYM for you. Once the account is connected and attached to a model, the AI can reply to MYM fans as soon as it is enabled (see "Enable or pause the AI").
This means you can connect a MYM account from a phone or a tablet. If the email address and password don't work, the Chrome extension takes over (see below): it needs a computer.
The steps
On the Models page, click Add an account (on a phone, the button only shows its icon).
Platform step: pick MyM, the row marked "Email and password, right here in Desirely".
Connection step: enter the email address and password the model signs in with on MYM. The eye icon ("Show password") lets you read the password back before confirming.
Click Connect the account. Desirely signs in to MYM, then the window shows "Account connected" and moves on to the next step by itself as soon as the account shows up. If you close it before that, you will find the account with the Link accounts button at the top of the Models page.
Model step: choose Create a new model then Create the model (the model takes the account's name and picture), or, if the creator already has her card in Desirely, Attach to an existing model card: select her in the list, then click Attach to followed by her name.
Click Open the model to fill in her profile, or Add another account to carry on.
Platform step: the MyM row, "Email and password, right here in Desirely".
Connection step: the email address and password (1), the eye to read the password back (2), then Connect the account (3).
What Desirely does with these credentials
They are used only to connect that MYM account.
They are never displayed in the app, and never shared.
Desirely keeps them so it can reconnect that account when needed.
Support will never ask you for your password: never send it in the Messenger, by email or as a screenshot.
If MyM refuses the connection
The window shows: "MyM did not accept the connection. Check the email address and password, then try again." First, read the email address and password again (capital letters, stray spaces). If in doubt, sign in to MYM once to check that they work. This message also shows when the password isn't the problem: the MYM account was created with Google or Apple (it then has no MYM password), two-factor authentication is on at MYM, or MYM is temporarily unavailable (try again a little later). In these cases, or if your credentials work on MYM and Desirely still refuses, use the extension (next section).
If the window shows "Account connected" but the account appears neither on the Models page nor in Link accounts, message us from the Messenger with the model's name, without the password.
If the email address and password don't work: the extension
On a computer, connect the MYM account with the Desirely Chrome extension:
Install the Desirely extension from the Chrome Web Store, then sign in to it with your Desirely account.
In the same browser, log in to the model's MYM account on creators.mym.fans.
Open the extension and click Send to Desirely.
Go back to Desirely, Models page, and refresh the page.
Several MYM accounts? One Chrome profile per model, with the extension installed in each one: in the same profile, the accounts disconnect each other. See "Several MYM accounts: one Chrome profile per model".
If the connection still fails, write to us from the Messenger with the model and the message shown, without the password.
When the MYM password changes
Desirely signs in to MYM with the saved password. As soon as it changes on MYM, Desirely can no longer connect with the old one, and the account may switch to Disconnected. Click Reconnect on the account's row (Models page) and enter the new password. If the account drops again, connect it again with Add an account, then MyM.
Best practices
A strong, unique password for MYM, different from your other platforms.
Limit the number of people who log in to the MYM account.
If a password has been passed around (a message, a screenshot, a shared document), change it on the MYM side, then give the new one to Desirely as described above.
