Update Payment Method

When You Need This

Your card expired, you got a new card, or a payment failed. Instead of digging through account settings, everything happens in your Stripe billing portal.

The bottom line: Two clicks from Dezygn gets you to where you can update any payment information.

Note: This is for subscription customers only. Legacy Special upgrade customers don't need to update payment methods (no future charges).

Step-by-Step Process

Step 1: Access Billing Portal

  1. Click "Manage Billing"

  2. You'll be redirected to Stripe

Step 2: Update Payment Method

  1. Look for "Payment methods" section in your Stripe portal

  2. Click "Add payment method" to add a new card

  3. Or click the "..." menu next to existing cards to update or remove them

  4. Fill in your new card details

  5. Set as default if you want this card used for future payments

Step 3: Verify the Change

  • Your new payment method should show as "Default"

  • Old payment methods can be removed if no longer needed

  • Next billing will use the new default payment method

Common Situations

"My card was declined"

What happened: Your bank blocked the transaction or card details are wrong

How to fix:

  1. Double-check card number, expiry date, and CVC

  2. Ensure billing address matches your bank records

  3. Contact your bank if they're blocking international payments

  4. Try a different card if available

"My card expired"

What happens: Payments will fail when your subscription renews

How to fix:

  1. Add your new card with the updated expiry date

  2. Remove the expired card

  3. Make sure the new card is set as default

"I want to change from one card to another"

Process:

  1. Add the new card first

  2. Set the new card as default

  3. Remove the old card (optional, but recommended)

Troubleshooting Payment Updates

"The new card isn't being charged"

  • Make sure you set it as the "Default" payment method

  • Old default cards take priority over new cards that aren't set as default

"I added a card but it's not showing up"

  • Refresh the billing portal page

  • Log out of Dezygn and log back in

  • Try a different browser if the issue persists

"My bank keeps declining the payments"

Common reasons:

  • International payment restrictions

  • Insufficient funds

  • Security holds on online purchases

  • Wrong billing address

Solutions:

  • Call your bank to authorize payments to "Stripe"

  • Verify your billing address exactly matches your bank records

  • Try a different card from the same bank

Payment Method Types

βœ… Accepted Cards

  • Visa, Mastercard, American Express

  • Debit cards with Visa/Mastercard logos

  • Most international cards

Security Notes

  • You can remove cards anytime

Best practices:

  • Remove old/expired cards

  • Keep billing address current

  • Use cards from your primary bank for reliability
