After you’ve added a desk phone to your DialLink account, you’ll need to configure its settings. This step defines how the device behaves and which user or number it’s linked to.
The configuration screen opens automatically after you complete the device registration. You can also access it later by selecting the device from the Desk phones list in the Settings section.
Configuration fields include:
Name
A clear and descriptive name to identify the device in your account later.
MAC Address
The unique identifier of your physical phone. It is filled in automatically after adding the device.
Tip. You can find it in the phone’s settings menu or on the label on the back of the device. See Finding the MAC address for details.Assignment
Select the user who will be using this phone. Once assigned, all incoming and outgoing calls on this device will be linked to that team member’s DialLink account.
Note. A user can be assigned to multiple registered devices.Automatically record calls
To enable DialLink AI-powered features (such as call summaries, transcription, or insights), make sure automatic call recording is turned on for the device.Phone numbers
Choose which phone numbers should be linked to this desk phone. The phone will be able to receive calls made to any of the selected numbers.
Outbound phone number
The number that will appear as the caller ID when someone makes a call from this desk phone.
Note. The outbound phone number must be selected from the list of phone numbers already linked to the device.
After completing the configuration, proceed with provisioning the phone to activate the connection with DialLink.
