In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to manage users and groups in Diffly. Go to Settings and click on "Users & groups".

By inviting your co-workers to join the platform and organizing them into groups (e.g. sales team, management, etc.), you promote better communication and more effective collaboration.

  • Groups in Diffly enable you to organize your different teams

  • User roles help to define permissions and responsibilities within the platform:

Add a new User

You can invite new team members to join your Diffly workspace by following these steps:

  1. From the Users & Groups tab, click on Add a user.

  2. Fill in the required fields, including the email, first name and last name.

  3. Choose the appropriate role (member or admin)

  4. Select a group and a manager for the user (if needed)

  5. Click on Invite User. The new user will receive an email invitation to create their account and join your Diffly workspace.

Understand User status and roles

User Status:

  • Active: The user has full access to the platform based on the permissions you set for them.

  • Inactive: The user has not yet accepted their invitation or has been deactivated by an admin. Inactive users cannot access the platform.

You can toggle a user’s status by editing their profile and switching the Active status on or off.

User Roles:

Manage user Groups

Groups in Diffly help you organize users into teams, such as "Sales Team" or "Executives." This makes it easier to manage permissions and analyze data by specific teams.

To manage groups:

  1. In the Users & Groups tab, click Manage groups.

  2. Create a new group or delete existing groups and members.

  3. Add members to existing groups by clicking on the blue pencil icon following their name. Then click on "Select groups" and choose between all the existing groups.

Once users are added to a group, you can filter data in Diffly based on these groups, helping you focus your analysis on specific team performance.

Remove or deactivate users

If a user no longer requires access to Diffly, you can deactivate their account:

  1. Go to the Users & Groups tab.

  2. Find the user you wish to deactivate.

  3. Click on the blue pencil icon to edit their profile.

  4. Toggle the Active switch off to deactivate the user.

You can reactivate the user at any time by turning the switch back on.
