FAQs - your company's stage of development

When you set up a company on our platform we provide you a choice of three stages of development for your company.

This enables us to bespeak our platform to make it more relevant to your company and the opportunities and challenges it faces:

Pre-revenue - A pre-revenue company is one which is sometimes referred to as ready for seed investment.

Q How do I know whether my company should be classed as "pre-revenue early stage"?

By a process of elimination to determine the best fit for your company. The alternative stages of development are "early stage post-revenue" and "mature" - if you are not one of these then we think your company is pre-revenue early stage and we tailor the platform to that attribute.

Q How do you tailor your platform for a "pre-revenue early stage"?

We tailor the platform by tweaking the questions we ask you to take account of the fact that your company is still an immature company but wants to build out some of the processes and controls that your company may not yet have put in place, for example in the area of HR.

Post-revenue early stage - A post-revenue early-stage company is one which is sometimes referred to as ready for Series A investment.

Q How do I know whether my company should be classed as "post-revenue early stage"?

By a process of elimination to determine the best fit for your company. The alternative stages of development are "early stage pre-revenue" and "mature" - if you are not one of these then we think your company is post revenue early stage and we tailor the platform to that attribute.

Q How do you tailor your platform for a "post-revenue early stage"?

We tailor the platform by tweaking the questions we ask you to take account of the fact that your company is still an immature company but is beginning to have some of the processes and controls that an earlier stage company may not yet have put in place, for example in the area of HR.

Mature - probably long-standing and profitable

Q How do I know whether my company should be classed as "mature"?

By a process of elimination to determine the best fit for your company. The alternative stages of development are "early stage pre-revenue" and "early stage post revenue" - if you are not one of these then we think your company is mature and we tailor the platform to that attribute.

Q Can I change my company stage of development once I have selected it?

Yes - please contact support@diligentsia.co.uk and we will facilitate this for you.

Q How do you tailor your platform for a "mature company"?

We tailor the platform by tweaking the questions we ask you to take account of the fact that your company is established and so should already have some of the processes and controls that an earlier stage company may not yet have put in place, for example in the area of HR.
