In this tutorial, we will show you how to create skills, skill domains, and skill frameworks on the Dokeos platform. Make sure you are logged in as an administrator before starting.
Step 1: Configure skill levels
1.Access the skills section:
Click on "Training" in the left-side menu.
Select "Skills".
2.Choose the number of levels:
You can choose between three and five skill levels. Note that this setting cannot be changed later.
3.Select the level presentation:
Choose from three types of display:
Stars
Gauge
Ribbons
4.Enable the skill suggestion option:
This will allow the platform to recommend training courses to participants to help them improve their skills.
You can also choose to approve access to these courses as an administrator or manager.
Step 2: Create skill domains
Click on "Create a skill domain":
Enter the domain title (e.g., "Language Skills").
Add specific skills (e.g., French, English, Spanish).
Define skill levels:
If you selected three levels, for example, indicate:
Beginner
Intermediate
Advanced
Confirm:
Once all the information is complete, click the "Create" button.
Step 3: Create the skill references
Define the skill framework:
The framework allows you to set objectives for each role in your company.
Enter the title and description:
For example, for an HR officer, provide the framework title and a brief description.
Choose the skill domains to include:
Click "Add a domain" to select the relevant skill domains.
Define objectives:
Click "Add an objective" and enter the objective title (e.g., "Junior HR Officer").
Select the skill level associated with this objective from the skill domains.
Confirm:
Once all the information is complete, click "Save".
