Keep in mind that the same module can be used in multiple Courses.

Step 1: Access the assessment module configuration

Click on the Configuration button on the Modules page when creating your Course. You will find several options to configure.

Step 2: Assessment module configuration options

  1. Passing Score: Define the minimum percentage of correct answers required for the participant to pass the module. This threshold can also be used to issue a Certificate on Dokeos.

  2. Number of Questions: Specify the number of questions to be displayed to learners. For example, if the module contains 20 questions, you can choose to display only 15.

  3. Random Order: Enable this option for Dokeos to randomly select questions from the list instead of following their creation order.

  4. Include Score in the Course: Check this option if you want Dokeos to consider this module’s score in the overall Course score calculation.

  5. Show Question Feedback: By default, Dokeos does not display the correct answers at the end of the module. Check this option to show the correct answers to learners, whether they pass or fail.

  6. Failure Notification: Enable this option to notify the Trainer when a learner fails an Assessment Module.

  7. Re-authentication at the End of the Course: Require re-authentication at the end of the Assessment Module to ensure that the same person has completed the evaluation.

  8. Review Module: This option allows learners who fail the quiz to be redirected to an additional module for further review.

  9. Learner Can Retake the Quiz: Allow learners to retake the quiz even after reaching the passing score, to improve their results.

  10. Maximum Number of Attempts: Set the number of allowed attempts to complete the Assessment Module.

  11. Maximum Time Allowed: Define a timer for the quiz to limit the time allocated to learners.

  12. Success or Failure Messages: Program a message to be displayed based on the participant's result, whether they pass or fail.

Important Information :

If you use Question Categories, you will also have the option to choose the number of questions per category and set specific success and failure messages for each category.

By following these steps, you can efficiently configure your Assessment Modules in Dokeos, optimizing the learning experience for your learners.
