After creating a Learning Module in Dokeos LMS, it is essential to configure it before adding it to a Course. This step allows you to customize the module’s behavior while keeping in mind that a single Module can be used in multiple Courses.

Step 1: Access the module configuration

  1. Create a Course: Start by creating your Course in Dokeos LMS.

  2. Add a Module: When adding the module, click on the Configuration button on the Modules Page.

Step 2: Learning module configuration options

Once in the Configuration Section, you will have two main options to set up:

1. Include in the course score

  • This option allows you to include the Module Score in the Overall Course Score.

  • Important: This option is only available if questions are present in the Learning Module.

2. Minimum time requirement

  • You can define a minimum time that the learner must spend in the Module before it is considered completed.

  • This ensures that users dedicate enough time to learning before progressing further.

Important Information

  • If you set a minimum time in a linear learning path, learners may be blocked in the module until the required time is reached.

  • Make sure to communicate these requirements clearly to avoid any confusion.

Conclusion

By following these steps, you can effectively configure your Learning Modules in Dokeos LMS. This setup enhances the learning experience and ensures that learners meet the Course Objectives.
