Important Information Before Cancelling Your Dosh Account
Account closure is permanent. Once cancelled, you cannot reopen the same account or create a new one using the same mobile number.
Consider keeping your account active. We’re constantly adding new features and improvements you might enjoy in the future.
Impact on your Dosh Card: Cancelling your account will automatically deactivate any linked Dosh Card.
No replacement or reactivation of cards will be possible after closure.
Funds must be cleared first. Accounts cannot be closed with a remaining balance. Please transfer or withdraw all funds before proceeding.
If you need to update account details (e.g., mobile number, email), contact our team via email contact@dosh.nz or the in-app messenger. For security, we’ll require:
A recent selfie
A photo of your valid driver’s license or passport
Method 1: Cancel in-app
How do I cancel my account?
Log in to your dosh app.
Ensure your account balance is $0. Before closing, any funds in your Dosh account must be fully withdrawn or transferred, as accounts cannot be closed with remaining funds.
Tap on the More menu.
Select App Settings.
Tap on Close My Account.
Method 2: Requesting Account Deletion via Email
Alternatively, you can reach out to Dosh customer support to request account deletion. Here’s how:
Use the registered email address linked to your Dosh account.
Send an email to support@dosh.nz requesting to close your account.
Include your registered email address and/or phone number in the request for quick verification. Customer support will confirm your request and process the account closure.
