Your own dosh account gives you a place to manage your money, your way. Saving for your first car, or a pair of Nike Trainers? Parents, guardians and other family members can send money to your dosh account instantly, dosh to dosh. Or, employers can deposit money into your dosh account easily, via direct bank transfer (read on for simple steps to deposit via bank transfer).
Your dosh account can only be opened in your name, with a valid NZ Passport or Driver's License provided by you.
Once opened, you can:
Order a free dosh card enabling you to spend your money easily instore or online where Visa is accepted. A dosh card isn't a credit card - it uses money in your account, just like an EFTPOS card. Plus, you can use it online, make contactless payments, over the phone and overseas*.

**Retailers incur Visa merchant fees ranging from 2.5% - 4%. Sometimes, individual retailers pass these on to their customers. There is a $0.70 flat fee to add money to a dosh account via Windcave.
If you are a parent/guardian and wish to view your teen's transactions, please contact dosh. You may not gain access without your teen's approval, and you must provide the following documents:
The teen’s birth certificate or passport.
Proof of address: This can be proof of a parent’s or guardian's address, so long as the relationship can also be proved, e.g. their name on the birth certificate.
Parent or guardian’s ID and the child’s birth certificate or a guardianship order
To receive your wages paid directly into your dosh account, by requesting an individual dosh Bank account number. You can provide your new dosh account number to your employer, and they will pay your wages directly into dosh.
dosh adds the wages to your dosh account the same day. Once set up, there will be no further action required by you to add money.
Getting set up to receive wages directly into your dosh account is easy. Just follow the following 3 steps:
Contact dosh in-app or via our website and request a dosh Bank account number.
We will set up the account for you and send you an email with the account details to your registered email address.
Forward the email directly to your employer requesting an update of the bank account number they pay your wages to. They will confirm when this is complete.
