To ensure that Apple devices purchased from your reseller are automatically added to your Apple Business Manager account, you must whitelist the reseller by adding their Reseller ID.

📌 What Is a Reseller ID?

A Reseller ID is a unique identifier that Apple assigns to authorized resellers and distributors. This ID allows Apple to associate devices you purchase with your ABM account automatically.

🧭 How to Add a Reseller in ABM:

  1. Log in to https://business.apple.com with an Administrator role.

  2. In the left sidebar, click on Settings (gear icon).

  3. Scroll down to Device Management Settings.

  4. Under Customer Numbers, click Edit.

  5. Enter the Reseller ID provided by your Apple Authorized Reseller or distributor.

  6. Click Done to save the changes.

Important: After adding the reseller, notify them that you’ve added their ID so they can associate your future purchases with your ABM account.Additionally, after notifying the reseller, it is recommended to confirm with them that the enrollment process has been completed successfully to avoid any issues with device association.

💡 Notes:

  • Some resellers may also ask for your Organization ID (found in your ABM settings under Enrollment Information) to complete the linking.

  • The association must be completed before the devices are shipped in order for them to appear automatically in ABM.- If the devices don’t appear in ABM after the reseller ID has been added, ensure the DEP ID is correctly entered and confirmed by the reseller.- Reset devices to their factory settings and retry the enrollment process, which can help refresh and resolve activation issues.
