As a school administrator, you may find a number of situations where a student needs to be added to another school. This is especially true when it's time to promote students from your middle school to their high school. Here are the steps to add a student's profile from your school to another school.
Adding a New School
After logging in to the DragonFly website, go to the "Schools & People" tab to see the checklist of all your student's.
Find the name of the student to be transferred in the checklist. (Helpful hint: Use the search field on the checklist to quickly narrow down your list.)
Click on the student's name in the checklist to display his/her profile page.
On the student's profile page, click the "Connect to School Or Association" button in the top-right corner of the screen.
In the next window, select your state and then type the name of the student's new school. Then click on the school and choose "Join [School Name]".
*NOTE: If you do not find your school by name, please contact your school to find out the exact spelling in DragonFly. Some schools have a different spelling in DragonFly than how they are commonly referred to in their area.
Choose the sports the student will participate in at the new school. (Don't worry if you don't know which sport the student will play...these can be edited later.)
Then save all of the information from the "Review Your Information" screen.
That's it! Your student's profile has now been sent to the new school for approval.
Next Steps
Once the student has been added to the new school, an administrator at that school will be responsible for approving the student to the school AND adding him/her to teams.
If you are an administrator at the new school, you should be able to switch to the Team Checklist for the new school and see the student added to your list of athletes. You can then handle the approval noted in the step above.
If the student's parent created the profile, he/she will be able to see the addition of the new school in the profile view.
