How to Manage Suppressed Emails

This article will show you how to manage contacts with a suppressed (bounced, un-subscribed) email address.

πŸ’‘ The Dripjobs Blast feature allows users to send email messages to multiple contacts at the same time. Prior to sending these messages, it is best practice to ensure you are sending to a "clean" list, meaning contacts who have opted in to receiving communication from your company and are not on the suppression list.


1. Click on Contacts

2. Select Email Suppressed from Status

3. Click on Filter

ManualSuppression means that the contact "Un-subscribed"

Hard bounce emails typically occur for several reasons:

  1. Invalid Email Addresses: If the email address provided by the recipient is invalid or doesn't exist, the email will bounce back as undeliverable.

  2. Recipient Mailbox Full: If the recipient's mailbox is full, new emails cannot be delivered, resulting in a bounce.

  3. Domain Name Doesn't Exist: Sometimes, the domain name part of the email address (after the "@" symbol) doesn't exist or is misspelled, leading to a bounce.

  4. Blocked by Server: The recipient's email server might block incoming emails from certain senders or domains due to security reasons or spam filtering.

5. Check selected

Checking the box at the top left-hand, will Select All or you may select contacts individually.

6. Click on Bulk Actions and select Archive Selected

This will remove all contacts with a suppressed email from you active contacts list.
You can always find and update them in the future by searching for Archived Contacts.
