What is 3D Secure Authentication?

3D Secure Authentication is an extra security layer for online card payments, ensuring that the person making the transaction is a legitimate cardholder.

What if the authentication fails?

If the authentication process fails during a 3D Secure transaction, there are a few steps you can take to address the issue

  1. Double-check the details you entered during the authentication process. Ensure that you have provided accurate information, such as the correct one-time password or security answers.

  2. In some cases, you may have encountered a temporary glitch or error. Retry the authentication process to see if it works the second time. Make sure you follow the instructions carefully and enter the required information accurately.

  3. If the authentication continues to fail, it is advisable to contact your card issuer directly. The customer service number for your card issuer can usually be found on the back of your card or on their website. Explain the situation and seek their assistance in resolving the authentication failure.

  4. If you are unable to resolve the authentication failure, you may consider using an alternative payment method, such as a different credit or debit card.
