What are goals, presets and styles?

Written by Paul Kopats

Every pop-up starts from a goal — what you want the pop-up to do:

  • Grow your email list — the visitor leaves an email, usually for a discount.

  • Give a discount — a discount without asking for an email.

  • Announcement — a message with a button and/or a link, no discount.

Then you pick a preset, which sets when the pop-up appears and whether it has a discount:

Announcements have no presets — you set their timing in the editor.

Finally, a style: Classic (clean and white), Bold (a dark card with a bright button) or Minimal (a light, airy look). The preset and the style are chosen when you create the pop-up and can't be changed later — to switch, create a new pop-up. Everything else stays editable: the discount value, delay, pages, devices, text, image, colours, fonts and layout, with a desktop and mobile preview.
