Why was my payment declined?

Is your card not working? Has the transaction failed? Let's take a look at what could have prevented the operation from running smoothly.

👉 Check whether the store accepts my card

  • Does the store you are purchasing from accepts Edenred+ cards? If you received a notification on your app with the message "Merchant not eligible", it means that this store is not part of the Edenred network and cannot accept your card.

  • While this store cannot accept your card for the time being, our teams are working hard to constantly expand the network of vendors for Edenred+.

  • If you tried to pay with a physical card, have you activated it? To pay at a merchant’s, you must activate your physical card from your app by confirming its receipt.

  • If you tried to pay with a virtual card, has it been added to your wallet? To pay at a merchant’s, you need to add your virtual card to your wallet.

  • Have you entered the correct PIN? For payments with the physical card, you can retrieve your PIN at any time from your Edenred+ app.

  • Did you block your card? If so, you can unlock it at any time from your app.

  • Do you have enough funds in your account? You need to have sufficient funds in your account to pay the amount you spend in your merchant's store.

  • Is the amount of your payment within the authorized daily limit?
