To enable the production process for your sites there are some settings you'll need to configure within Edify.
To get started head to Production > Production Sites. Using the 'Site Selection' dropdown choose the site you'd like to setup.
Site Configuration
Site Type
Use this dropdown to set what type this site is.
Standalone - has its own production kitchen and does not request stock from a hub nor provide stock to spokes.
Hub - is only a production kitchen, it has no front of house sales. It provides Spoke sites with stock.
Spoke - does not have a production kitchen. It requests all of its stock from a Hub.
Hybrid - requests stock from a Hub, but also has a production kitchen so produces some stock for themselves.
If you set a site as a Spoke a second 'Supplier Hub' dropdown will appear. Use this to set which Hub supplies stock to this Spoke site.
If there are no options available in the dropdown this means no current sites have Hub as their site type. A Spoke can only be linked to one Hub.
Setting benches
If your site is a Standalone, Hub or Hybrid you should set the number of benches that are available at that site.
This will save you having to manually add each bench during Bench Planning, and will allow you to utilise the 'prefill benches' function.
Site Productions
This will differ depending on if your site is a Hub, Spoke, Hybrid or Standalone.
Standalone
Select the number of Fixed Productions the site has and if the site also has a Variable Production.
Hub
Select the number of Fixed Production the Hub has that spokes can make requests for. Hubs should not have Variable Production set.
Spoke
Select the number of Fixed Productions the Spoke can request stock for. The maximum number of Fixed Productions that can be set will depend on the Hub setup. For example, if the Hub has only two fixed productions, the spoke can only have two fixed productions.
Hybrid
Select the number of Fixed Productions the site has and if the site also has a Variable Production.
Production Schedules
There are three types of production schedules which can be set within the Production Sites settings.
Schedule: Using the schedule you can pre-fill the production times for Fixed Productions for each day. This applies to every bench as default but can be adjusted when you plan your benches if needed.
Cutoff: This applies to Hubs only. For each production use this to set a cutoff time Spokes need to request stock by.
Forecast: Using the forecast you can set the sales times you would like your Fixed Productions forecast to be calculated from.
Select the day of the week you’d like to set your production times for. Use the time selector to input a start and end time for each fixed production.
If your site is a Spoke the Schedule and Cutoff will be auto-set depending on the Hubs schedule and cannot be edited. If your site is a Hybrid you will only be able to edit the productions completed onsite.
Forecast should still be set for all productions.
After making any change be sure to click ‘Save Changes’ to apply this.
These settings will now auto-populate when planning productions for this site.
