Spoke and Hybrid Production Setting

Updated over 2 months ago

Rather than produce their own products Spoke sites (and Hybrids for productions obtained from Hubs) request these from Hubs by setting productions.

Checking cutoff times for setting productions

Navigate to Production > Production Planner. Here you'll see all upcoming days you can set productions for.

For each day there is a 'Cutoffs' column which shows how long you have left to set a production for each fixed production.

If the cutoff time is under 24 hours this will show in yellow. Once it has passed you will see 'Passed' in red.

Setting productions for Hubs to produce

Within the Production Planner page click 'Plan' by the day you would like to set.

For Hybrid sites the productions you set for the Hub to produce are signified by the folder symbol by the production. Productions you will make yourself do not have this symbol.

If you have Default Production Numbers set these will auto-populate within your productions minus any carry-overs.

If Default Production Numbers have not been set the production columns will be blank and will have to be manually set.

You can manually adjust production numbers if needed. Use the 'Save' button to save your changes.

Once you are happy with the production numbers you can send these to the Hub by clicking the 'Set Production' button.

In the pop-up window you can choose which productions you'd like to set using the tickboxes before clicking 'Set Production' to send these to the Hub.

Once you have set your production you can no longer make edits to the production numbers, so be sure these are finalised before setting them.

Hybrids setting own productions

Hybrids would follow the same process as above to send productions to Hub. However they also use the 'Set production' button to confirm the numbers for their own productions.

Once they select their own production in the 'Set Production' pop up and click 'Set Production' they will be taken to Bench Planner.

Making changes to a set production

You cannot make changes within Edify once a productions numbers have been set and sent to the Hub. If you need to make a change you should contact the Hub directly and request this.

The Hub can then adjust your production numbers, and this will change will be reflected in your production planner view.

Just click 'View' by the day you've requested the change for.

Spokes making On Demand requests

Should a Spoke site realise during the day it requires more products the Hub should be contacted directly to request these.

The Hub will input these into Edify using their 'On Demand' planner and transfer the products to the site.

Hybrid production planning

For Hybrid sites production planning is completed the same way as Standalone sites plan productions. Further info can be found here. Unlike Spoke sites Hybrid sites can plan On Demand productions.

Spoke and Hybrid Production Setting FAQs

What happens if I don't set my productions before the cutoff times?

If you have not set your productions before cutoff time you will need to contact the Hub to have your production planner 'unlocked'.

Once the Hub has unlocked your production planner you will be able to set your production even though the cutoff time has passed.

Can I save my progress while I make changes to production numbers?

Yes you can save your progress. If you are making some changes to numbers but would like to come back and make further changes in the future just click 'Save'. This will save the changes you've amde so far and allow future editing.

There's a product I want to request but it is not in the list on the Production Planner

The list of products available to be requested is defined by the Production Range assigned to your store for that day. If there is a product you'd expect to see that isn't there you should reach out to a system administrator to get your range updated.
