Bench Duties

Summary

Bench Duties are non-production tasks that need to be completed by benches during productions. These include essential activities like cleaning down benches, taking out bins, or other maintenance tasks.

Reminder: Duties are set at a company level, not at a site level


Setting Up Your Site Duties

Creating New Duties

  1. Go to Production > Production Sites > Bench Settings

  2. Click + Add Duty

  3. Enter a name for the duty

  4. Set the estimated time this duty should take

  5. Choose how to assign the duty:

Random Assignment:

  • Leave Associated Benches blank

  • The duty will be randomly allocated to any available bench

Specific Assignment:

  • Click the Associated Benches dropdown

  • Select which specific benches should handle this duty

πŸ’‘ Tip: You can assign duties to as many benches as you've configured in your Number of Benches setting under General Settings.

How Duties Work in Production

Once your duties are set up, they'll automatically be included when you plan your bench assignments. The system will:

  • Add duties to bench schedules based on your settings

  • Allocate time for each duty according to your estimates

  • Assign duties either randomly or to specific benches as configured
