Before starting your first stocktake ensure you have set up your storage areas.
Select the site you are wanting to set up a Stocktake for using the drop down menu in the top left
On the left hand menu select "Inventory"
Select "New Stocktake"
Select "Start Stocktake"
Within each storage area input the quantities of the products
Click "Save" - read more about why it's important not to submit a stocktake too early here.
Once all storage areas are complete click "Submit"

What should I do if I'm interrupted during a stocktake?
We understand there may be instances your team are interrupted while completing a stocktake. If this happens just click "Save" rather than submit. This saves the progress of the stocktake without submitting it.
Do I have to complete each storage area one by one?
No you do not need to complete storage areas one by one, storage areas can be completed concurrently.
βCan multiple people carry out stocktakes at once?
Yes, multiple people can be logged into Edify and counting stock at the same time, even within the same storage area. It's just important no one clicks "Submit" until everyone has finished counting stock.
Do I have to complete stocktakes on my computer?
No you don't have to complete stocktakes on a desktop computer, you can access Edify on tablet or mobile phone devices to make stock counting even easier. You can find instructions here on how to download Edify to a mobile device, or you can simply access Edify via a web browser.
βCan I print off the storage areas to complete a stocktake?
Storage areas are not downloadable for printing. The reason we don't recommend printing and drafting any stocktakes on paper, is that paper stocktakes can often lead to mistakes and inefficiencies. Further, storage areas might contain more products to count than will fit on one A4 sheet.
I've submitted a stocktake too early, what should I do?
If you reach out to our support team they'll be able to re-open the stocktake for you so you can complete your stocktake.
I've already submitted a stocktake but have realised I've made an error, what should I do?
Once a stocktake has been submitted it moves into the "Review Stocktake" area of Edify. Here, a Manager or Admin can make adjustments to the quantities counted of any product before it is closed. This gives you the opportunity to amend any errors before closing the stocktake.
The stock value of a product looks incorrect, why is this?
Edify automatically calculates the value of the stock you have counted. If this looks particularly high or low this could be due to an error in the product setup and should be reviewed before submitting the stocktake. You'll need to make sure 'Pack Type', 'Pack Quantity', 'Single Item Volume or Weight' and 'Unit of Measure' are all correct.
What happens if I accidentally overwrite a previous stocktake before submitting?
Unfortunately if you do not submit a stocktake the inputted numbers are not recorded. It's very important once you have finished a stocktake you submit it.
