Google Features in Edusfere

Written by Heather Schultz

This guide walks through all the ways your Google account works with Edusfere.

SSO Option

  • Logging in is made easy by our SSO option.

    • On the homepage, https://auth.edusfere.com/, or on your school's specific website, you can select Sign in with Google and follow the prompts.

Allowing Access

  • Your Admin has to first take care of the Google permissions to allow Edusfere to access your school's Google account.

Uploading a Lesson Plan

  • You can upload your lesson plan right from your Google Drive. When in the unit, you can select +Add lesson.

    • Select Import.

    • Select Add from Google Drive.

    • Find and attach your lesson and let the system do the rest. If you have any specific instructions, you can include them in the Paste as text area.

    • Please remember that it’s best practice to always review what is imported into Edusfere to make sure everything is correct and where you want it.

    • You can only import one lesson at a time.

Importing or Attaching Materials

  • You can import materials from your Google Drive.

    • Please note: this will create a copy in Edusfere. This allows the system to manage user permissions. When you share your lesson with someone, they will be able to access any shared materials without you having to grant any additional access. It does mean, however, that if you make any updates, you need to make them in Edusfere.

    • You can create a share link from the Edusfere copy and save it to your Google Drive if you want to be able to make changes in either place.

  • You can attach a link to your file in your Google account, but please note: we are not able to monitor user access if you attach it there. You will need to make sure that all necessary permissions have been taken care of.

    • To attach it, you just need to copy the link and paste it into Edusfere under Link address

Creating Files Right in Edusfere

  • You can create your own Google Docs or Google Slides file directly in Edusfere. You do not need to have your own Google account to utilize this feature.
