Teacher How To: Add or Adjust Lessons in Your Class Schedule

Written by Heather Schultz

Once your class schedule is created, you can add lessons to empty days or adjust existing lessons.

To add lessons to empty days:

  • Log into your account and click Calendar on the left navigation pane

  • Find an empty class day that shows +Add Lesson

  • Click on it

  • Choose one of two options:

    • Create New — Build a new lesson directly from the calendar (it will sync to your Course Hub)

    • Choose from Existing — Select from lessons already created in your Course Hub. You can add a single lesson or multiple lessons. If you select multiple, they will be distributed across consecutive empty days (one lesson per day), similar to how auto-populate works at initial setup

  • Your calendar will update with the lessons added

To adjust a specific day in your class:

  • Log into your account and click Calendar on the left navigation pane

  • Hover over the day you want to adjust

  • Click the ⋯ (three dots) in the top right corner

  • Choose from the following options:

Add Notes — Add notes about this specific class day (helpful for reminders or reflections)

Edit Lesson — Modify the lesson details for this day without affecting your Course Hub

Replace Lesson — Swap the current lesson for a different one from your Course Hub (use this if you want to apply updates you made in the Course Hub to your calendar)

Remove Lesson — Delete the lesson from this day without deleting it from your Course Hub. This frees up the space so you can assign a different lesson or create a new one. The class still meets on this day.

Share Lesson — Generate a shareable link for the lesson on this day

Cancel This Date's Class — Cancel class for this specific day (use this if your class doesn't meet due to a closure or other conflict). You can then bump lessons forward to adjust your schedule accordingly.

Bump Lessons Forward — Shift all remaining lessons forward in your schedule. Choose to bump by one day or multiple days (use this if a lesson took longer than planned or if you cancelled a class day). This creates space for you to adjust what's being taught.

Shift Lessons Back — Move all remaining lessons back in your schedule. Choose to shift by one day or multiple days (use this if you need to move lessons earlier in your schedule).

Edit the Class Schedule — Make changes to the class itself:

  • Class Name — Change the name of your class

  • Student Group — Change or add student groups to the class

  • Days and Time — Modify which days the class meets and the start/end times

  • Delete Class — Remove the class permanently (⚠️ This is permanent. All edits and notes you created for this class will be lost, but your course in the Course Hub will be maintained)
