What is needed for setup?
Administrators: You'll have a one-time setup so teachers can sync their accounts. You'll need to set up an API key in FACTS and input it in Edusfere. We'll provide you with a subscription key and the scopes you need to include in your API key.
Teachers: Make sure your email address matches between Edusfere and FACTS. If they don't match, ask your administrator to align them—they can update either your Edusfere or FACTS email, whichever works best for your situation.
Where will the integration be found in Edusfere?
The integration is located in the Class Calendar page in the actions menu for individual teachers.
If I've entered in my lessons to FACTS, will I be able to sync them to my Edusfere portal?
Not at this time. This integration allows you to push your information from Edusfere to your FACTS portal.
What information will be brought over to my FACTS portal?
Lesson plan information. During setup, you'll choose which fields from your lessons carry over to FACTS. This selection applies to all lessons you sync.
Will this be an additional cost?
No. This feature will be available for all Edusfere users at no additional cost.
What if I don't use the calendar feature in Edusfere? Will I still be able to have integration of my lessons with FACTS?
No. Since you're syncing to a calendar, you'll need calendar information for the sync to work correctly.
Will there be an automatic sync option, or will I need to push the information every time?
For this first rollout, you'll need to click the sync button when you're ready. We're exploring regular syncing options for the future.
You will be able to choose the timeframe in which you want to sync your lessons (this week, month, or custom).
If I have information in FACTS and push the sync from Edusfere, what happens to my data on that date?
Your Edusfere information will override what's in FACTS, so make sure your calendar is up to date before syncing.
Will I be able to include homework in the lesson information?
If you have the activity type in the lesson as homework, it will be pushed to the homework notes section in FACTS
