You can add videos from Youtube, Google Drive, Vimeo or TED to your interactive lessons with Video template.
Paste the link for the video in the Video link field. Optionally, you may add a title for the video. If you wish to add more than one video with this template, click Add a new link.
Where to get video links
Open the video you want to integrate into the lesson and click Share.
Copy the link and paste it in the template.
Pro tip:
You can set the start time of a YouTube video. Before copying the video link, check the box in the bottom left corner, and select the start time. This feature is useful when you want to skip a long intro or want a long video clip to start playing from a certain point.
If you have a video uploaded to Google Drive, open it, click the three dots under your avatar, and then click Share. Set General access to anyone with the link, then copy the link and paste it in the template.
Click the Share button under the video. Copy the top link and paste it in the template.
Click the Share button under the video. As with other sites, copy the link and paste it in the template.
Warnings
Video files aren't stored on Edvibe. If they get deleted from a source platform, they will also disappear from your lessons.
There is no synchronization between you and students when playing a video. If you want to watch it together and simultaneously with your students, use screen and audio sharing in video conferencing apps such as Zoom or Skype
Pro tip
If you want to add a video script, create a Note template right under the video and enter the script there. You can easily switch its visibility for students. Alternatively, you may go for Text template or add a script as a screenshot with Pictures template. Don't forget to hide them from students, if necessary.
