How Eedi works

Learn the basics of Eedi, from topics and lessons, to streaks and coins πŸ’ͺ

Updated this week

Eedi helps boost your maths grades and build confidence in a fun and interactive way! We have hundreds of topics and lessons ready for you to work through πŸ₯³

Getting started

When you log in for the first time we'll ask you to complete the Eedi Starter Quiz - this is a quick 10-question quiz for us to check your maths knowledge so we can recommend the best topics for you to work on πŸš€

Once you complete the Starter Quiz you'll have your own recommended pathway full of different topics to start working through!

How do Topics and Lessons work?

You'll start by choosing a topic to work on from your Learn page - we'll recommend a topic for you, show you any schoolwork that has been set, or you can search for another topic instead.

To begin, click the "Start topic" button:

Each topic contains 5 multiple-choice questions. Each question is designed to look at specific pieces of information that build up your knowledge. These questions can be answered by choosing one of the four options: A, B, C or D.

You'll have two attempts to answer a question. If you get a question wrong after your second attempt you'll jump into a lesson to learn how to work out the correct answer πŸ’ͺ

If you get the question right you'll be able to move on to the next question, or you can take a lesson if you'd like more practice on it.

The Eedi Learning assistant will take you through the lesson, full of teaching videos, guided examples and interactive worksheets. This is all done in a written chat format, so don't worry, you don't need to be camera ready! πŸ“½οΈ

You might find the following useful whilst working on Eedi:

πŸ“ Pen/pencil and some paper.

πŸ”ŠTurn the volume up on your computer so you can watch the videos.

⏰ There's no time limit, so you can work at your own pace without rushing.

πŸ˜ƒ Remember learning should be fun! Don't worry if you get things wrong!

You can respond to questions in your lesson by typing your answers in the text box, or clicking the buttons in the chat when prompted πŸ™‚

Once you've completed your lesson you'll go back to your multiple-choice topic questions and resume from where you left off!

Eedi Plus members can get live help from our tutors by clicking the Ask for help! button. Our tutors are available to help every day:

  • Monday - Friday: 9am - 11pm (UK time)

  • Saturday - Sunday: 9am - 8pm (UK time)

Streaks & Coins

Whilst working on topics and lessons you'll earn Streaks πŸ”₯ and Coins πŸ’°

πŸ”₯ Streaks will determine your position on the Eedi Leaderboards. Each week we give out bonus coins to all students in 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!

πŸ’° Coins can be used in the Eedi shop to customise, your account, create your own avatar, and purchase prize draw competition entries (Eedi Plus only)!

What next?

You'll learn the most by working on topics, so we recommend working on your recommended topics found at the top of your Learn page 🌟
