What data is shared with my company?

Discover the reasons why and which type of information that is shared

Updated over a week ago

If your company is using EEVEE's Business solution to manage its e-fleet, some of your vehicle's information is securely shared with the fleet owner from your company. In this article we explain why this is needed and what specific data is shared.

What data will be shared?

EEVEE provides you with an interactive application which reveals a lot of information about the charging, driving and parking of your car. Of course, not everything you can see in the app is visible for your fleet manager. Here is a list with the detailed information that is shared with the fleet owner from your employer:

  • General info: your name, email address, home location, IBAN

  • Car info: VIN, car brand, model, connection status, license plate, odometer (mileage)

  • Charging info: date, start time, end time, kWh usage, charging speed, charging location type (home/work/public)

  • Location data: GPS location of your charging sessions

Note: your employer can never see driving sessions or parking locations. Only charging sessions are logged. That means that our solution is not providing any live location tracking by GPS. Because of this, it is impossible for your employer to see where your car is parked, what trips you have taken, or see any other privacy invading information.

What is this data used for?

Companies use EEVEE to get a centralised overview of the amount of charged energy (kWh). The general charging insights your employer is looking into:

  • How much did the fleet spend on charging?

  • How many kWh are charged at home, at work or at public chargers?

  • What's the status of the odometer (mileage) from each car?

๐Ÿ’ก This information is similar to what companies used to receive when they were using a fuel card. It helps to manage the fleet in an easy, centralised way.

A second purpose for sharing the data is to reimburse the home charging. This means that we offer an effortless service that pays back your home electricity used to charge your company car. With data coming directly from the car, this is an easy, cost-effective and automatic way to register and reimburse these expenses. That is a big advantage for you as an employee!
