How to make a scene live

How do I choose which scene my audience sees?

You have added all the scenes you want to your event. Designed them the way you want. Decked them out with chat, polls, videos, GIFs, guests, and more. And now you are ready to start your live event and show your audience everything you have in store for them.

Before you hit that "Start Streaming" button, you will have to set your first scene live. This will be what your audience sees first. Note, you will probably be going in the order that you built your event, but you don't have to and you can always jump back or skip a scene if you need to.

πŸ“Œ If you forget to set a scene live, viewers will see a blank screen. So make sure you see that little live badge before you hit that "Start Streaming" button.

Showing a Scene

To select the scene you want to send live to your audience, first choose it from the list of all your scenes, and then hit the "Show Scene" button.

When you are ready to switch to the next scene, you just repeat the same steps. As mentioned above, you can jump around as you'd like.

✏️ Note: If you make any changes to a scene, like adding another widget, you will need to set that scene live again for your audience to see it.

Hiding Scenes

You may notice that once you show a scene, a hide scene button becomes available. When a scene is hidden, the audience watching just sees a blank screen. So, while this option is open to you, we recommend that instead of hiding the current scene you simply choose another scene to show.

However, if you need to quickly hide a scene from the public for whatever reason, the Hide Scene button is there for you.
