Effi lets you create amazing events that you can deck out with elements like polls, meters, and media and customize from top to bottom with colors, fonts, and more to match your branding. Follow along below to get started.

Hit the "Create New Event" button in the top right corner of your Dashboard. Give your event a name— you can change this later— and select the resolution. Hit "Save & open Studio."

Once you hit save an event will be created and you will be taken directly to Stage where you will be building, designing, and producing your event. It's important you get familiar with Stage and what it has to offer so you can find what you need and make streaming your events that much easier.

Let's take a look at what you'll find in Stage

  1. Layers: See all the elements you’ve added to a scene and gain easy access to their settings.

  2. Elements: Add elements to your event like polls, chat, meters, images, text, QR codes, and more.

  3. Media Library: Store and upload media like images and gifs to add to your scenes.

  4. Event Settings: Change the name and resolution of your event and share it with team members.

  5. Help: Easy access to our help center articles and support from a member of the Effi team.

  6. Scenes: Scenes are used to build out your event. That's where you’ll add guests, elements, and more.

  7. Add New Scene: Click to add a new scene to your event. Add as many as you’d like and drag to re-order.

  8. Private chat: This is how you will be able to chat privately with your guests. Viewers will not be able to see messages in Private Chat.

  9. Guests: Opens your guest panel. You will be able to invite guests, view guests, and remove guests from this panel. This is also where you will be able to join the broadcast and the Greenroom.

  10. Effi Logo: Click the logo to return to your dashboard.

  11. Stream Destinations: See all the platforms you’re streaming to and add new ones.

  12. Audience Chat: Where you will be able to see all incoming chat messages the audience are typing in from all the platforms you are streaming to. If you have added Chat, this is also where you will be able to moderate it.

  13. Set Destination: This will open up the destinations menu when you can connect the platforms you's like to stream to ( just like #12). Once you connect a platform, this button will switch to the Start Streaming button.

  14. Mic: Mute/unmute your mic

  15. Camera: Turn your camera on/off

  16. Show Scene: Make a scene and its elements viewable to your audience.

  17. Scene Preview: This window shows you exactly what will be included in your scene. When the scene is live, this will be what your viewers see.
