Effi allows guests of broadcasts to join from any device including a phone or tablet, as long as it has a working camera and access to a reliable internet connection.

How It Works

Whether you were invited via email or a link, just follow it on the device you wish to use. You'll then grant Effi permission to access your camera and mic and then join the Greenroom where you'll be through the duration of the broadcast.

Some tips and considerations for joining on your phones or tablets:

  1. While you can join using your phones, it’s important to ensure that you have a stable internet connection. For the best experience, join from a location with reliable Wi-Fi to avoid connectivity issues that can impact the quality of the broadcast.

  2. We recommend you have a stand or something sturdy to prop your device on so that a) you do not have to hold it for the entirety of the broadcast and b) so that the video isn't shaky affecting the quality of the content.

  3. You may want to ask your host how you'll be positioned in the scene. For example, if you will be in a side-by-side video feed with another guest, portrait orientation is fine. However, if you'll be the sole person on screen in a large video feed, it is better to position your phone horizontally in landscape mode so you fit better in the window and look better on screen.

Not to worry, though, whichever device you choose to join on, your host will be equipped with all the information they need to keep the process smooth and ensure you produce some high-quality content together.
