Screen sharing is a great feature that allows you to broadcast your computer screen to your audience during a live stream. This can be incredibly useful for a variety of purposes, such as presenting slideshows, demonstrating software or applications, conducting tutorials, or sharing important documents. By enabling screen sharing, you can provide your viewers with a more engaging and interactive experience, allowing them to follow along with what you’re presenting in real time. However, access to this feature is limited to ensure the quality and security of the broadcast.
Only the people in Stage who are producing the event have access to screen sharing. This means that guests will not have the ability to share their screens, even if they are hosting the broadcast.
Why This Restriction?
Screen sharing happens in real-time. It is not uploaded beforehand like an image or video. Because of that, we limiting screen sharing access to the producers helps to:
Maintain Control: Producers can ensure that the content being shared is relevant and appropriate for the audience.
Prevent Disruptions: By restricting access, we minimize the risk of technical issues or disruptions caused by unauthorized screen sharing.
Enhance Quality: Producers can manage the flow of the broadcast more smoothly, providing a seamless viewing experience for the audience.
💡 If there is a piece of content you'd like a guest to share during the event, we suggest you coordinate with them beforehand to make sure you have it all set up and ready to go.
When used effectively, screen sharing can be a great tool to present content to your viewers, so Effi makes sure to give you the options while also safe gaurding the quality of your broadcast.
