Screen sharing is a powerful feature that allows you to broadcast your computer screen to your audience during a live stream. This can be incredibly useful for a variety of purposes, such as presenting slideshows, demonstrating software or applications, conducting tutorials, or sharing important documents. By enabling screen sharing, you can provide your viewers with a more engaging and interactive experience, allowing them to follow along with what youβre presenting in real time.
To learn how to screen share during a broadcast, follow the steps below.
Setting Up Screen Share
In order to share your screen, you will use the Video Feed element, the same element used to place guests in a scene.
To start, open the Elements menu, select "Video Feed," and choose the "One" style options.
π‘ You can choose any layout style you'd like, depending on if you have guests in your scene as well. However, we recommend choose the "One" option for your screen share, and then adding your guests in separate feeds. It will make everything easier to maneuver and work with on screen.
In the options menu under "Guest," choose YOUR NAME + SCREEN from the dropdown.
Once the broadcast is live and you start sharing your screen, it will appear in that feed.
π You'll notice in the list of options in the dropdown and option with YOUR NAME + SCREEN and an option with just your name. The one that only displays your name with out "Screen" next to it is the option you'll use if you plan on being in the broadcast as well, as an on-camera participant, instead of only just managing it.
