There’s a couple things you need to get started:
You must be a director of a registered business in New Zealand
Have your ID on hand (NZ driver's license or passport)
A camera for a quick ID check.
You’ll also need to fill in a few details to get your account set up, including your mobile, name, and email address.
Next, it’s time to verify your ID. This involves taking a picture of either your driver's license or passport and matching it with a selfie.
Now - it’s time to get your business set up. Make sure you have your company's registered business name, as well as your IRD number, ready to go. If there is beneficial ownership, we may require more details from you.
Congrats! Your Emerge account will now be up and running! The next step is creating your first card.
Start by labelling your card. You’re then able to select the account you want the card to draw from. You have the option to set personalised spending limits, as well as spending permissions, such as the ability to use it online, internationally, at an ATM, or contactlessly. Lastly, set the pin for your card.
And just like that, you’re business account is set up and ready to go!
